As a digital native, to me the idea that we can Investigate the impact of contemporary society on cyber social science, one of the most interesting research areas is exciting. With the complete influence of social media, internet communities, and
electronic communication networks, people have dramatically adjusted their interactions, relationships, and self-presentation styles in today’s society.
Developments that these adjustments create among social constructions, accordingly, identities and communal acts form inseparably complex and abundant research subjects for cyber social scientists. By applying the principles or methods of
cyber social science, the Navy can not only understand the online behaviors and social activities of potential enemies, but also enhance its assessment and Intelligence Acquisition capabilities. Moreover, cyber social science can help with
positive communication and cooperation in any virtual environment. More importantly, effective defense and offensive measures eventually should be originated from understanding human’s vulnerability and weakness in the world of digital. Integrating or implanting the recognition and concepts of cyber social science into the training programs and daily operation, therefore, will not only make military forces, including Navy, more mentally ready to conduct the information operations
and cyber wars, but also teach them how to operate, fight, and win in the virtual world. In conclusion, motivation and suitability to the daily social dynamics and its relevance and applicability to military services, especially to the Navy, make cyber social science not only valuable for further study but also practical for everyone in the society.
